Sorry, but this army has several failings and is not to be considered as a legal army. Why? Allow me to explain. Just an idea i had if i combined some of the imperial Guard Regiments that faught on Armageddon. So far i have: HQ- Command Squad w/ Heroic Officer (plasma pistol power wep) 4 Guardsmen w/ Lasguns A weak HQ with no real use. Sure the officer has shiney weapons, but it's not going to hold up to enemy squads or enemy HQ's. It needs to be one of three things: Assault (Adding in veterans and assault weapons), shooty (Storm bolters and a heavy weapon) or Leadership based (Master vox and a junior officer instead). The squad could use two special weapons, preferably two plasma guns as the increased armour can handle overheating a lil' better. Veteran sergeants in the Imperial Guard are NOT officers and this do not have access to power weapons and power fists. The infantry squads are weak and easily crushed as lasguns alone do not do enough damage. You'll need at the very least an assault weapon in each squad to even out the odds. Even better would be a heavy weapon in each squad as well. Your Chimera's need a weapon load-out! This platoon lacks Chimera transports and is thus illegal. When fielding an army with the Mechanized Doctrine, you must field ALL infantry squads, command squads etc. with a Chimera transport. Also, again the same with the infantry squads, they are weak and undergunned. I'd field the two Cadian sentinels in a seperate position, letting the Armageddon sentinel hunting armour while the two Cadians hunt for medium infantry and light vehicles. Heavy supportAn Armageddon pattern Basilisk MUST be equipped with the enclosed crew compartment upgrade. The Leman Russ tank works best as an anti-infantry weapon, so slap on three heavy bolters and a pintle-mounted weapon, the heavy stubber is especially good for this. Sadly, you cannot combine two doctrine armies into a single force, it's one or the other. You might want to look into that first, choosing the right doctrines before continuing.

Quite a bit of mistakes on my part.
1)HQ has las PISTOLS w/ close combat not Las guns. My bad. 2)Stormtroopers. Dont own any stormtroopers w/ special wepons at the time, but i will soon. Hopefully... 3)Again a mistake. Power word or close combat wep is what i ment. 4)Dunno wtf im gona do with the cadians in chimera. Maving mechanized troops costs lost of money! 5) Never really use setinals im my guard army before. Thanks for the tip. 6)wow, six already. I havent assembled the basislisk or leman russ yet.
Well it was a last resort to try and squirm my way out of buying more chimeras for my steel legion troops, but it looks like i am gona have to anyway...

might I add that steel legion is where it's AT. Don't worry about it tho, imperial guard is very confusing when the army gets huge. And also, brookman just knows too much about the guard

No look, you can't combine two armies on a single list. That does not work. The only other way to do it is to have two seperate force organisation charts.
Yes, you can combine mini's in an army.
No, you can't combine two regimental doctrine sets into a single army. That would be illegal and unhinge the game severely.
But my comments remain, the army is weak in it's ability to defend itself. And again, veteran sergeants may NOT have any sort of power weapon. No power fist, no power sword, nothing. (Exceptions are: Storm trooper veteran sergeant, Rough Riders veteran sergeant and the Hardened Veterans sergeant)
If you find a mechanized army too expensive, go for an infantry army. Though you should have known when starting an Imperial Guard army that it would be expensive.

heh, i do agree about Guard being confusing (and Brookman knowing ALOT) but i gave up on the idea and bought enought models for a full steel legion army like i was going to in the first place. Oh well.
